The label posed challenges in that it was the first label to receive the new treatment based on the identity refresh, which has since become the basis of all “classic” labels produced by the winery. To avoid the “handwritten font” feeling like a cliche, I suggested we use the handwriting of the wine maker themselves. The label now balances between elegance, classic, contemporary, and handcrafted.

The side of the bottle contains quick and important information,, such as the location of the winary as well as the bio logo. These bits of information, as well as the logo and other consistent information, is designed to stay put across all “classic” labels (more about the contemporary line later).
